U.S. Embassy American Citizen Services to Host Town Hall in Georgetown

Georgetown, Guyana – The American Citizen Services (ACS) team at the U.S. Embassy in Georgetown is pleased to extend an invitation to all American citizens residing in Guyana for a special Town Hall meeting scheduled for Friday, April 12th, 2024.

This Town Hall presents an invaluable opportunity for American citizens to engage directly with embassy officials and learn more about the various services and resources available to them. Key topics of discussion will include American Citizen Services, with a particular focus on voting procedures while overseas, as well as insights into the Citizen Liaison Volunteer network, formerly known as the warden system.

The event, slated to commence at 1:30 pm, will be held at the U.S. Embassy located at 100 Duke and Young Streets, with access via the Duke Street side entrance. In anticipation of the event, attendees are advised to arrive between 12:15 pm and 1:15 pm for mandatory security screening.

To ensure participation in the Town Hall, all attendees are required to RSVP no later than Friday, April 5th. RSVPs can be sent via email to [email protected], with the subject line “RSVP Town Hall Georgetown E99.” In the body of the email, attendees must include their first name, last name, U.S. passport number, and date of birth. Please note that confirmation from the embassy is necessary for entry, and seats are limited.

It is essential to adhere to embassy security protocols. Attendees must bring a valid photo ID for entry, while large bags and computers will not be permitted inside the premises. Although phones are prohibited within the embassy, limited lockers will be available for storage. The event will take place in the Consular Waiting room area.
